We at Danube are absolutely aware of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) towards the society and the environment we live in.

We realize that the eco system that we are living in is not only fragile but the man on this planet has been neglecting it in pursuit of commercial success. The unhindered aspirations of human beings have brought the very beautiful gift of god to mankind on the brink of collapse. As a result the exquisite species of flora & fauna, the energy & resources are perishing. Global warming, cyclones, floods, earthquakes and deforestations are threatening the very existence of mankind.

We immediately need to take remedial measures for the environment that we are living in. IT needs to be protected at all costs for the future generations. The energy & resources will be the very essence for the existence of mankind. It’s a moral obligation that no human being on earth can ignore to protect.

We too contribute in this field in small way :

• We have in place the energy saving equipments.
• Energy efficient LCD flat screens are used in place of traditional CRT monitors.
• Our servers are power efficient and we prudently use the standby mode on the servers to considerably lower the power demand.
• We allow our professionals to work from home by using the remote access tools which ensures a minimum carbon emission while commuting.
• We try to utilize is the web based mode of meetings that significantly reduces the travel and subsequently costs and emissions.
• We lay a great emphasis on power management settings in order to increase efficiency both at the work place as well as home.
• We encourage Sleep mode in our organization to conserve energy. Servers, monitors, printers and machines are reverted to sleep mode when not in use.
• We encourage of recycling equipment and materials for a clean environment.
• All the material that cannot be recycled is disposed off in the most eco-friendly manner.

The maxim is true “Earth can satisfy everyone’s needs but not everyone’s greed”. Commercial Success is vital but not at the cost of depleting eco system.

The latest advances that are taking place in environment and energy conservation are closely watched by us in order to enable us adopt the latest environment friendly technologies and move with changing time and flow of Danube.
